The Planning Commission is an administrative body comprised of nine members, appointed by the Mayor, that makes recommendations to the Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) in regard to changes in the zoning ordinance or zoning map, annexations, or other planning-related decisions. This body also adopts and maintains the land use plan and subdivision regulations, reviews the subdivision of land, and reviews site plans.

The Planning Commission meets in regular session on the Fourth Thursday of each month (except November and December, when the meeting is on the 3rd Thursday) at 7:00 PM in the City Hall Boardroom.

This property is located at 2970 Del Rio Pike, to the west of the Rizer Point subdivision and to the north of Poplar Grove School.
NATURE AND SCOPE OF THE APPLICANT REQUEST
Goodall Homes is proposing a new Development Plan and Rezoning Request. The site is currently zoned AG and requests SD-R. The proposed plan features a neighborhood of mixed single-family residences and townhome residences on approximately 44 acres.
This PUD will be submitted as a conservation subdivision, which requires at least 50% of acres as open space and to preserve natural features.
WHERE TO VIEW THE PROPOSED PLAN
The public may contact the applicant’s representative to view the plan prior to the Neighborhood Meeting.
WHERE THE PUBLIC CAN BE HEARD
The applicant will provide a brief presentation of the proposed Development Plan at the Neighborhood Meeting. The public will be given the opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback following the presentation. There will also be an opportunity for public comment at the Franklin Municipal Planning Commission meeting scheduled for November 15, 2018.
