The goal of the City of Franklin’s Parks Department is to provide a diverse and a quality system of parks, recreation facilities, greenways and public open spaces that contributes to and enhances the environmental character of the community. Planning and Sustainability Department
The mission of the Planning and Sustainability Department is to accomplish the highest quality of life for the citizens of Franklin by striving for constant improvement of the built environment and the conservation of natural and historic resources. All property taxes, real and personal, are payable on October 1 and shall become delinquent March 1 of each year. For information on property taxes, contact the Revenue Management Office at 615-791-3226.

Senior Citizens Assurance Program
Daily contact for senior citizens who do not have family nearby or are living on their own. This is a free service provided by the Williamson County Sheriff's Department. For more information, call 615-790-5554 or 615-790-5560.
The Williamson County Enrichment Center is structured to facilitate programs and community engagement for senior citizens ages 55 and up Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm. During afternoon, evenings and weekends, the venue transitions to offer programs for young and old alike offering classes and events to include: arts and crafts, music, dance, theatre and much more. SeniorGuidance.org provides comprehensive resources on various senior living options, including: assisted living facilities, senior living communities, nursing homes, independent living communities, continuing care retirement communities (CCRC) and all other long term senior care options, including memory care such as Alzheimer's or Dementia.
Sanitation and Environmental Services Department
The Sanitation and Environmental Services Department is responsible for the collection and disposal of all residential, commercial, yard and bulk waste within Franklin city limits to ensure the health, welfare, safety and sanitation of our community.
