Application Submittals

Applications are submitted through an online web portal called IDT.  The Department of Planning & Sustainability and the Department Review Team use this system to review proposed projects and provide comments back to the applicant. To see a development map showing projects in the works and what stage they are in click this Development Map

Submit an application online at https://franklintn.geocivix.com/secure.  This link provides helpful information on getting started.  Fees are generally paid online by credit card or by bringing in paper checks to the office at 109 3rd. Avenue South, Suite 133.

  • No paper copies are required at the initial submittal.

  • Failure to submit the project and pay the fees by the deadline will result in the submittal being considered incomplete and not accepted.  No exceptions.

  • You will receive e-mails at every stage of review for your item from “Contractors Plan Room” [info@contractorsplanroom.com] –please add this to your “safe email address list”

  • If you experience problems or issues with your submittal, click “Support” on the top or bottom menu and then click the “Live Chat Online” button on the left side of the Online Application Portal webpage or contact Susan Coleman at susan.coleman@franklintn.gov
