As an application is processed with the City, the applicant has the expectation of meeting specific timeframes for the City to process the application efficiently. The following is a list of these timeframes, as found in both the Zoning Ordinance and/or the FMPC Bylaws.
Application Milestones |

120 days |
An application must be filed within 120 calendar days of the assigned pre-application meeting. This date still applies if the pre-application meeting is waived by staff. |
If this deadline is not met, a new pre-application package must be submitted. |

10 days/ 7 days |
A neighborhood meeting application must be sent to the Department of Planning and Sustainability within 10 days of the intended meeting date, and required notification to neighbors must be mailed within 7 days of the meeting. |
3 Resubmittals |
An applicant must re-submit within three applicable resubmittal dates, as defined on the posted calendar. |
If this deadline is not met, then the application will be considered expired, and the applicant must start the review process from the beginning, starting a pre-application submittal. |

15 days |
Public notification of the item on the FMPC agenda must be mailed within 15 calendar days for all development plans, rezonings, and preliminary plats, and Envision Franklin amendments. |
Public notification of the item on the BZA agenda must be mailed within 15 calendar days for all applications. |

14 days |
An applicant has 14 calendar days from the Administrative Agenda to appeal a condition of approval or decision by DRT. The request must be sent to the Department of Planning and Sustainability. |
