• After-hours noise complaint – Franklin Police non-emergency dispatch 615-794-2513.  Per municipal code, blasting is permitted Monday-Friday from 7 AM to 6 PM, and on Saturdays from 9 AM to 6 PM.
• General noise/construction-related complaints – Franklin Building & Neighborhood Services 615-794-7012
• The State Fire Marshal’s Office has jurisdiction over the use of explosives in construction.  Please contact the State Fire Marshal to report blasting damage or related concerns by following this link:

Vulcan Materials, located at 1001 Downs Blvd. in Franklin, blasts several times each week.  The vibrations can be felt throughout downtown Franklin and the surrounding area.  Each blast is monitored by seismic equipment to ensure that the ground movement and air blasts are within limits as established by the Tennessee State Fire Marshal's Office.  These limits were established to prevent damage to structures.
