The payroll staff also transmits payments and produces the following: quarterly reports for 941 IRS withholding forms, various deductions for optional life and health insurance, various other deductions required by law, and reporting of employee contributions to 401(a), 457 and retiree health investment plans.
In FY 2024-2025, there are 787 full-time and 26 part-time/seasonal budgeted positions. Most employees are paid bi-weekly; elected and appointed officials are paid monthly. All employees are paid by direct deposit.
The City prepared 20,785 payments between July 2023 - June 2024 (unaudited) to 876 employees of over $47 million in net pay as shown below:
