Fireworks/Franklin on the Fourth

Franklin on the Fourth is the City’s annual Fourth of July Celebration.  It is currently held on the Square in Downtown Franklin.  The Fireworks Show, held in conjunction with Franklin on the Fourth, is at the beautiful and historic Park at Harlinsdale Farm.  Together, both events bring in over 10,000 people.

Kids Arts Festival of Tennessee

The Festival will offer many opportunities for school-aged artists of Franklin, and surrounding communities, including: A juried art exhibit, hand-crafted art for sale, stage performances, master classes, art stops to experience and create unique art, and more!  Youth artists participating in the hand-crafted art sale will be mentored by participating professional art vendors.

Movies in the Park

Free family event held at Pinkerton Park three times during the summer.  Family-friendly movies are shown on a large screen.  Attendees bring blankets, chairs, and snacks.  Refreshments are also available to purchase.  Approximately 500 – 750 attendees at each movie.

Family Day 

 

Family Day is an annual event held at The Park at Harlinsdale Farm every fall.  There are plenty of activities for the entire family including kid’s entertainment and DJ music. The day includes hay rides and children’s train rides, fishing/casting in the pond and a variety of games for all ages.  This free event is sponsored by the City’s Parks Department.  Approximately 3,000 people.

Tree Lighting Ceremony

Annual Ceremony for the City of Franklin includes entertainment by local students, a multi-media light display, and the lighting of the community Christmas Tree located on the Square.  The event brings thousands of attendees into Downtown Franklin.
