Program Description

The City of Franklin supports the visual arts by providing two public spaces in City Hall for local artists. The FireHall Art Gallery offers 77 ft. of wall space and is located on the South end of City Hall by the Fire Administration offices. The Community Art Display is located in the main hallway by the 3rd Avenue entrance. Art shows rotate monthly and may feature one artist or a group of artists.

Space Descriptions

Fire Hall Gallery

The Fire Hall Gallery provides wall display units and track lighting in the hallway by the Fire Administration offices. Approximately 77 ft. of horizontal wall space is available for artwork.

Community Art Display

The Community Art Display is located in the main hallway of City Hall and provides panels of grids by which to hang artwork. Shelving can also be added to the grids. Each panel measures approximately 2 ft. by 6 ft. Usually there are 13 panels set up providing 312 ft² of space. Additional panels can be added.

The City may allow for other temporary methods of displaying artwork, such as easels or pedestals, as long as it is provided by the artist and does not interfere.
