Property Tax Relief & Freeze
The Tax Relief and Tax Freeze programs are administered by the Williamson County Trustee.
The State of Tennessee provides tax relief for low-income elderly and disabled homeowners, as well as disabled veteran homeowners or their surviving spouses. In addition to receiving relief on property taxes, qualifying owners will have their monthly trash collection fee waived by the City of Franklin.
The voters of Tennessee approved an amendment to the Tennessee constitution to allow for a freeze on property taxes for low-income elderly homeowners. Williamson County has approved a tax freeze for County property taxes. The City has not adopted the tax freeze for city property taxes.
