Matt Brown is a small business owner, community volunteer, and brand strategist, having spent the past two decades building and leading great companies, organizations, and brands. For more than two decades, Matt has been focused on service - to his nation in the Army National Guard, to his family as a husband and father, to his clients as a brand builder and public opinion strategist, and to his community as a supporter of an array of local non-profit initiatives.

He has worked extensively with or provided support to local organizations such as Franklin Tomorrow, Friends of Franklin Parks, the African-American Heritage Society of Williamson County, GraceWorks Ministries, One Generation Away, and Mayor Ken Moore’s Unite Williamson initiative.

He currently sits on the boards of Unite Williamson, seniorliving.com, and The Lift Collaborative (a ministry focused on building schools in Haiti).

As co-founder of BrandMETTLE, Matt spends his days conducting market research and building strategies to help companies and brands of all sizes successfully launch and grow in their respective marketplaces.

Before creating BrandMETTLE, Matt successfully launched or served as CEO of several leading healthcare communications agencies. Before and during Matt’s leadership roles, he oversaw client relationships and worked closely with clients on the branding and marketing of new and in-line products and offerings.

Matt is a graduate of The Ohio State University and served in the Army National Guard for 6 years before starting his professional career. Originally from Ohio, Matt, along with his wife and 3 children moved to Franklin in 2017. They are Stakeholders at Church of the City in Franklin where Matt also volunteers in the KidCity program.
