Detectives in Franklin are asking for the public’s help with solving an attempted jewelry store burglary. Shortly before 1am on Wednesday, officers responded to an activated burglar alarm at 790 Jordan Road. Arriving officers found the back door of Pawfect Puppy standing open. Inside, an adjoining wall between that business and Platinum Jewelers was severely damaged in a failed attempt to gain entry to the jewelry store. The suspect left, empty-handed, prior to officers arriving.

In an apparent attempt to disable the alarm, the suspect cut phone lines and fiber optic cables in a utility box, at the intersection of Jordan and Mallory, just prior to the burglary. This left 600 AT&T customers without service for an extended period of time, until repairs could be made.

Detectives are releasing these videos, of the masked suspect, in hopes that someone may recognize his posture or gate, or that a passer-by may have noticed something Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning that might help investigators.
