Franklin, TN – Tomorrow, police leaders from Franklin Police, Brentwood Police, the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office, and Tennessee Highway Patrol will showcase specialty components of their agencies to high school criminal justice students from Williamson and Davidson County. “As a high school student, I knew what I wanted to be when I grew up,” said Franklin Police Chief David Rahinsky. “We want to foster the healthy interest these students already have in the field of criminal justice. If just one of them decides that they want to commit their life to public safety, our time was well spent.”

Tomorrow’s event will include demonstrations by Mounted Patrol, K9, SWAT, and Aviation, and students will have the opportunity to tour several specialty police vehicles on display. Fourteen honor students were selected by their teachers to attend an exclusive leadership luncheon with Chief Rahinsky, Chief Hughes, and Sheriff Long. The day will conclude with a presentation on ethics by Sheriff Long, just prior to the landing and an interactive display of specialty choppers by THP’s Aviation Unit.
