The Development Services Advisory Commission is comprised of 11 members appointed by the mayor and confirmed by the board of alderman. Members serve three-year terms. The vacancies are to be filled by citizens with a primary residence in Williamson County or whose business has a permanent office located in the City of Franklin.

The Development Services Advisory Commission is a recommending body that will provide guidance and recommendations to the board of mayor and alderman for enhancing the city’s development review processes and associated development services and policies that implement the city’s goals for land use, transportation, housing, economic development, neighborhood livability and the environment. The Development Services Advisory Commission is expected to meet six times per year. 

 

City of Franklin Seeks Volunteers for
the Development Services Advisory Commission

The City of Franklin is seeking three volunteers to serve on the Development Services Advisory Commission.  Members of the Commission serve in an advisory capacity without compensation and are appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the Board of Mayor and Aldermen. This is a three-year term beginning in September 2024. Volunteers must be willing to attend monthly meetings on the 1st Tuesday of the month from 8:00AM – 9:00AM. Candidates interested have to be actively engaged in development (ex. Real estate, land planning, site design, etc.). Also, they must have either a primary residence in Williamson County or their business has to have a permanent office location in Franklin.
