The City of Franklin has nine volunteers who serve on the Sustainability Commission. The Commission serves as a policy advisory board to the Board of Mayor and Aldermen with a focus on energy, waste reduction, and transportation and mobility. 

The Commission typically meets on the second Friday of each month at 8:00 AM in the Franklin City Hall Training Room. The agenda packets are posted on the City's website in advance of the meeting. Please send questions or comments to andrew.orr@franklintn.gov

MISSION STATEMENT: The Sustainability Commission provides guidance to the Board of Mayor and
Aldermen and the Planning Commission, direction to the Sustainability Task Force, and leadership for the entire Franklin Community.
The City of Franklin has committed itself to developing an ongoing strategy of sustainability for the
community. This initiative will be designed to achieve viable, fulfilling, and rewarding lifestyles for our residents and business partners through responsible and innovative stewardship of the environment.
