In support of the Civil War Trust’s 18th Annual Park Day, the national effort to clean up and raise community awareness of Civil War related historic sites, the City of Franklin has joined forces with the Battlefield Preservation Commission to build trails and remove vegetation at Eastern Flank Battlefield Park. We are encouraging volunteers to participate. This effort is in conjunction with the Commission’s goals to prepare the park for the Sesquicentennial Anniversary of the Battle of Franklin this year.

Please wear appropriate clothes and shoes. Please bring gloves, safety glasses, rakes, shovels & a lot of enthusiasm. Drinking water will be provided.
