The Planning Commission is an administrative body comprised of nine members, appointed by the Mayor, that makes recommendations to the Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) in regard to changes in the zoning ordinance or zoning map, annexations, or other planning-related decisions. This body also adopts and maintains the land use plan and subdivision regulations, reviews the subdivision of land, and reviews site plans.

The Planning Commission meets in regular session on the Fourth Thursday of each month (except November and December, when the meeting is on the 3rd Thursday) at 7:00 PM in the City Hall Boardroom.

JOINT CONCEPTUAL WORKSHOP
Thursday, March 27, 2014, 4:00 pm

Notice is hereby given that a joint, non-voting workshop of the Board of Mayor and Aldermen and the Franklin Municipal Planning Commission will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at 4:00 pm in the City Hall Training Room. Additional information can be found at www.franklintn.gov/planning. The typical process for discussing an item in this workshop setting is as follows:
1. Applicant/staff presentation, and
2. BOMA and FMPC comments.

Meeting Agenda:
1. (4:00 pm – 4:05 pm) Call to Order and Announcements.
2. (4:05 pm – 4:30 pm) Review and Discuss the 2013 Development Report.
3. (4:30 pm – 5:00 pm) Review and Discuss the Community Planning Assistance Team’s (CPAT) Report on Development and Floodplain Constraints in Historic Franklin.
4. (5:00 pm – 5:30 pm) Review and Discuss a Proposed Annexation and Development Plan for the Ingraham property, consisting of 146 single family residential units on approximately 61.9 acres, located at 4101 Clovercroft Road.
5. (5:30 pm – 6:00 pm) Review and Discuss a Proposed Development Plan for the Ovation PUD Subdivision, consisting of ±450,000 square feet of retail/restaurants, ±30,000 square feet of office (above proposed retail), ±450 hotel rooms, and ±950 attached and detached residential units, on approximately 76.7 acres, located at the southeast corner of East McEwen Drive and Carothers Parkway.
6. (6:00 pm – 6:30 pm) Review and Discuss a Proposed Development Plan Revision for the Through the Green PUD Subdivision (Shadow Green), consisting of 228 attached residential units and office space on approximately 14.82 acres, located along the northern side of Shadow Green Drive, west of Columbia Avenue.
7. (6:30 pm) Adjourn.
