The three program areas of Franklin Transit are as follows:

  • Franklin Transit Authority provides fixed-route transportation service and Transit On Demand curb-to-curb transportation service 6 days a week throughout Franklin. The public transit service is operated and managed by The TMA Group on behalf of the Franklin Transit Authority.  
  • VanStar is the regional rideshare solution that connects people who work in the same area, live in the same area and share similar work schedules. TMA offers online ride-marching commuter services aimed at eliminating congestion, saving commuters money and improving air quality. 
  • WeGo (in Nashville) operates express coach bus service to and from Nashville.

Updated Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE)

Goal FYs 2022-2024

Notice is hereby given that Franklin Transit Authority has updated its Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Participation Goal that is set in accordance with the U.S. Department of Transportation Regulations at 49 CFR Part 26. Franklin Transit has established a proposed race-neutral overall DBE goal of 3.9% for Federal Fiscal Years 2022 through 2024. This goal is applicable to DOT-assisted contracting opportunities scheduled to be awarded during the period of October 1, 2022, through September 30, 2024.

Franklin Transit’s proposed goal and its rationale are available for inspection for twenty-one (21) days following the date of this Notice, between 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday through Friday at the Transit Center:

Franklin Transit will accept comments on this proposed goal for twenty-one (21) days from the date of this notice. Written comments may be sent to the street or email addresses listed above.

On Tuesday, September 14 at 2:30PM in the Franklin Transit Center’s conference room, the Franklin Transit Authority will be holding a meeting of contractors and interested parties to discuss the three-year DBE goal setting process, for Federal Fiscal Years 2022, 2023 and 2024 (Oct. 1, 2021 – Sept. 30, 2024). This meeting is open to the public.
