The City of Franklin has nine volunteers who serve on the Sustainability Commission. The Commission serves as a policy advisory board to the Board of Mayor and Aldermen with a focus on energy, waste reduction, and transportation and mobility. 

The Commission typically meets on the second Friday of each month at 8:00 AM in the Franklin City Hall Training Room. The agenda packets are posted on the City's website in advance of the meeting. Please send questions or comments to andrew.orr@franklintn.gov

Notice is hereby given that a regular meeting of the Franklin Sustainability Commission will be held on Friday, June 11, 2021 at 8:00 A.M in the Franklin City Hall Boardroom located 109 3rd Ave S. For any questions, call 615-791-3212 and for accommodations, due to disabilities, contact the Human Resources Department at 791-3216, at least 24 hours prior to the meeting. Please check the posted agenda at www.franklintn.gov/calendar for additional information prior to the meeting.

 The purpose of the regular meeting will be to consider matters brought to the attention of the Sustainability Commission and will include the following items:

  3. Energy Policy Guide Resolution 2021-81 Recommendation Vote
  4. Walk Friendly Communities Recap
