The City of Franklin has nine volunteers who serve on the Sustainability Commission. The Commission serves as a policy advisory board to the Board of Mayor and Aldermen with a focus on energy, waste reduction, and transportation and mobility. 

The Commission typically meets on the second Friday of each month at 8:00 AM in the Franklin City Hall Training Room. The agenda packets are posted on the City's website in advance of the meeting. Please send questions or comments to andrew.orr@franklintn.gov

Franklin Sustainability Commission

Notice is hereby given that a regular meeting of the Franklin Sustainability Commission will be held on Friday, October 2, 2020 at 8:00 A.M.  Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, this will be a virtual meeting. The public may call 1+312-626-6799, Meeting ID: 984 9954 7049, Passcode: 11641780 to join the meeting. The public may email comments to planningintake@franklintn.gov to be read aloud during the meeting. Emailed comments will be accepted until October 1st at 5:00 PM. The meeting video will be available for public viewing within one business day and posted on the city’s facebook and youtube accounts. For any questions, call 615-791-3212 and for accommodations, due to disabilities, contact the Human Resources Department at 791-3216, at least 24 hours prior to the meeting. Please check the posted agenda at www.franklintn.gov for additional information prior to joining the meeting.  

 

The purpose of the regular meeting will be to consider matters brought to the attention of the Sustainability Commission and will include the following items:

Resolution 2020-191 Declaring That The Sustainability Commission Shall Meet On October 2, 2020, And Conduct Its Essential Business By Electronic Means Rather Than Being Required To Gather A Quorum Of The Members Physically Present In The Same Location Because It Is Necessary To Protect The Health, Safety, And Welfare of Tennesseans In Light Of The COVID-19 Outbreak”
