Operation Safe Streets Underway in Franklin

Local, State, and Federal Agencies Working Together to Combat Crime, Gangs

Franklin, TN – Franklin Police Chief Jackie Moore addressed twenty-eight law enforcement officers from the Franklin and Columbia Police Departments, Williamson County Sheriff’s Department, FBI, and TBI, who hit Franklin streets moments ago for “Operation Safe Streets.” The goal: To arrest those engaged in criminal conduct while gathering information about gang members in Franklin.

“Multi-agency initiatives like this are a prime example of law enforcement officers working together to keep Franklin streets safe, and we are appreciative of every participating agency and officer,” said Chief Jackie Moore. “These initiatives are nothing new to Franklin, and we’re going to continue in these efforts until gang members and others engaged in criminal activity get the very clear message that Franklin is not the City in which they should be conducting their activities.”
