The City of Franklin’s Housing Commission is pleased to announce that Zach Blair, the Acting Director of Fair Housing Compliance for Tennessee will be speaking at the August 4, 2016 Housing Commission meeting.   The meeting begins at 7:30 a.m. and will be held in the City Hall Training Room. 

Mr. Blair joined HUD in 2010 through the Presidential Management Fellowship, the federal government’s leadership program for advanced degree candidates. Prior to joining HUD, Zachary attended the University of Notre Dame Law School, where he graduated magna cum laude.  He originally hails from the great state of Michigan, but currently resides in Nashville, TN. 

Working with HUD, Zachary interprets and applies federal statutes and regulations in the monitoring of civil rights compliance on over $100 million in HUD grants, including Community Development Block Grants and Public Housing financing. He will speak on several real cases that have involved Fair Housing policies.
