Franklin on the Fourth Back on the Square
The Park at Harlinsdale will be open for fireworks viewing
Franklin, TN — Franklin on the Fourth will be held on the Square in Downtown Franklin on Thursday, July 4th. The annual celebration, coordinated by the Franklin Lions Club, TN Events, and the City of Franklin, will include music, crafts, food, antique cars and a kids’ zone. The event begins at 10 a.m. and continues until 8 p.m. Attendees at the festival are encouraged to go to the Park at Harlinsdale Farm to view the fireworks show, sponsored by the City of Franklin and WAKM AM-950.
For the event, Main Street from Second Avenue to Fourth Avenue will be closed beginning at 5 a.m. on July 4th. In order to prepare for the large number of visitors to the fireworks viewing, the entire Park at Harlinsdale Farm, including the K-9 Korral Dog Park, will be closed to patrons from Wednesday (July 3rd) at dusk to Thursday (July 4th) at 6 p.m. Visitors will be able to enter the Park from either entrance beginning at 6 p.m. No vehicles will be allowed into the Park once the fireworks display begins. Alcohol, fireworks (including sparklers), and grilling are not allowed in the Park. Dogs must be kept on leashes at all times.
Entertainment for the event on the Square includes performances by Rocky Top Revue, The Zinghoppers, Half Brass, and Devonsire’s. The Children’s parade begins at 4:45 p.m. For the entire schedule of entertainment and a list of vendors, visit www.tneventinfo.com.
