MAYOR MOORE SETS “STATE OF THE CITY” ADDRESS FOR MAY 22
To be Held at the Factory; Public Invited to Attend Free Event
FRANKLIN – City of Franklin Mayor Ken Moore will focus on Planning for the Future at the 2013 “State of the City” address at Liberty Hall in The Factory at Franklin, on May 22, at 7:45 a.m. Doors will open at 7:00 a.m., and a light breakfast will be available.
“We are inviting the entire community to The State of the City address like we have in previous years. Our City departments will be on hand to explain their services. We hope citizens will attend this educational event and we are thankful the Factory is donating this venue,” said Mayor Moore.
The theme of this year’s speech is “It’s Not Complicated…Planning is Elementary.” Mayor Moore will focus on long term planning as well as discuss the City’s accomplishments in the last year. The presentation will be preceded by a department expo for visitors to stop by various booths and learn about different City Departments. Police, Fire, Water, Planning, Human Resources, Parks, Solid Waste, Building and Neighborhood Services, Municipal Information Technology, Finance will all participate.
