MAYOR MOORE “STATE OF THE CITY” ADDRESS
Public Invited to Submit Questions and Attend Free Event
FRANKLIN – City of Franklin Mayor Ken Moore has announced the date for his first “State of the City” Address: Liberty Hall in The Factory at Franklin, on April 27 at 7:45 a.m., doors open at 7:00 and breakfast will be available.
“Last year’s state of the City address at the Factory was so well received that we wanted to again make it a community event. We are thankful the Factory is donating this venue to the City for this event,” said Mayor Moore. “We invite all Franklin residents to attend. Last year’s state of the City address drew more than 400 people.”
The theme of this year’s speech is “The Spirit of Franklin.” Mayor Moore will discuss some of the unique aspects of Franklin’s community spirit that make it a special place to live, work and visit including: the entrepreneurial spirit and growth, the spirit of public service, and Franklin’s caring community spirit, on the one year anniversary of the historic flood that hit Franklin and Middle Tennessee. News Channel 5’s Rhori Johnston will emcee and moderate a question and answer section at the end of the presentation.
Coffee and light breakfast will be provided, and citizens will have an opportunity to ask questions. Residents are encouraged to submit questions prior to the event to ensure that the most detailed updates can be provided.
