This week is National Child Passenger Safety Week. On Thursday, Franklin Police Officers and Firefighters are hosting a car seat installation and safety check at The Academy of Forrest Crossing from 3 pm - 6 pm. The address is 377 S. Royal Oaks Blvd., in Franklin.

Bring your vehicle, your child, and their existing car seat to have them double-checked by certified police and fire technicians.

This event will be especially helpful to expectant parents who want to be sure their seat is properly installed and ready for that much-anticipated maiden journey home from the hospital. 

The opportunity is free, and everyone is welcome.
