Preschool Storytime
A firefighter will read a book for preschool age children, then they will go outside for a fire truck demonstration. There are 2 sessions to choose from:
In honor of Fire Prevention Week, at the library throughout October:
- Stop by the Children’s Department for free plastic fire hats, Sparky the Fire Dog story books, coloring books and crayons, and more!
- FREE sidewalk chalk will also be available, courtesy of Atmos Energy. Use it to create outdoor art that illustrates the 2022 Fire Prevention Week theme, “Fire won’t wait. Plan your escape.” Take a picture and share it on the City of Franklin’s Facebook page with the hashtag #FranklinFire at www.facebook.com/cityoffranklin. The entry deadline is 11:59 P.M. Sunday, October 23, 2022. Winners will be announced the following week, and recognized at the Board of Mayor and Aldermen meeting on November 8, 2022.
