The Franklin Fire and Police Departments are asking 50 community members to roll up their sleeves and donate blood on August 4th in Franklin City Hall to mark the upcoming 20th anniversary of 9/11.  The initiative is part of the “Remembering the Badges” blood drive campaign being supported by fire and police departments throughout Middle Tennessee.  Public safety agencies and communities are collaborating to collect at least 2,977 pints of blood, equaling the number of innocent lives lost on September 11, 2001.
