Ann Petersen teaches math at Columbia State Community College. She earned B.A. and M.A. degrees in mathematics at the University of Mississippi. Ann and her husband, attorney Jim Petersen, have lived in Franklin since 1968. They have two adult sons, Jim and Allen. Ann served on the Franklin Planning Commission 1987-2006 and was vice chairman in 2006. Earlier, she was a member of the Williamson County Planning Commission.
