The Maintenance Division consists of both a Maintenance Crew and a Landscape Crew, each with varying responsibilities.
The regular Maintenance Crew provides the following:
- Street Sweeper service througout the City
- Annual Leaf Collection in the Fall/Winter
- Various road work, consisting of patching roadways, shoulder repair, inspection of sidewalks, curb/gutter, and roadways
- Snow/Ice removal
The Landscape Crew maintains the landscaping in Downtown Franklin and various other areas. Specific responsiblities include:
- Hanging seasonal banners and decorations
- Maintaining plants and flowers that decorate Downtown Franklin
- Mowing and weed-eating of designated City medians and Rights-of-Way
- Inspecting and cleaning the Downtown Parking Garages
- Maintaining the grounds of the two City cemeteries
- Setting up and taking down barriers and signs needed for special events
- Overseeing the City's compost site
